I am in receipt of your yesterday's letter, and note therefrom that Mr. Secretary Long desires proofs of my state- ment, that by the terms of the late Partnership Deed of the firm the trade marks to which I referred in my letter of the 25th of January, belong to the British partners only.

The original of our late Partnership Deed is unfort- unately not at the moment available, but I have obtained from my solicitors a copy thereof (which I enclose) and which, as you will see, has been used by them in various proceedings and

is a true copy of the original.

The question of the goodwill is dealt with in Article 24, which stipulates that my brother and I, and such one or more (if any) of them, Werner darl Otto Zedelius and Max Vistor Zedelius as shall be admitted as partnera or a partner in the business shall be entitled to the goodwill. Neither of the latter wore admitted as partners, so that the goodwill was and remains the property solely of my brother and myself.
